Inconsiderate iPod user

So I'm reading in the library, and this girl waltzes into the area with her iPod shuffle, and BLASTING the damn thing so loud that people can hear the music even though it's playing through headphones.

Maybe this stupid girl has gone deaf from listening to that shuffle at full volume. Anyways, I wanted to take the device and throw it out onto Broad Street where it would be crushed by a truck or something.

Why the hell is it that people do stupid crap like that?

Kindly ask her to turn the volume down, I'm sure she wouldn't mind. Either that or suggest she get a pair of huge enclosed headphones, that would look hilarious with a little iPod shuffle.

My day was exceedingly boring, but I had work to do and I was irritated. Luckily I was done reading what I needed to read 5 mins later and could leave.

I agree....I think it's very annoying/rude when people blast their music through their headphones regardless of where they are.

Sometimes I'll be at the library and some dude will have his cdplayer/walkman/mp3 player on the table and the music is so loud I can hear it across the room.

Other instances would be in the elevator, it's like a small radio is playing or something. How can anyone enjoy that kind of loud noise...doesn't it physically hurt to listen it that loud?

one thing that's even funnier is that so many people will spend 3-400 dollars on an ipod and use the crappy headphones that come with them... i've tried out those phones a few times, they downright suck... i've been using the relatively cheap set of sennheiser earbuds that came with my Rio Karma, and they just blow those ipod 'phones out of the water... now they're nowhere near as good as my sennheiser HD570's, but you can't always use giant, open-air headphones.
