People are a holes. Neighbors at my last surburban place were the life of the neighborhood and had parties pretty regular. The man worked out of town and when he was back home he liked to throw parties and his kids would be screaming at the top of their lungs in the street "playing". They ended up moving and the new neighbors were pretty good till he allowed some delivery guys drive a pickup onto my lawn full of sprinklers.. This is my current place. I honestly couldn't pick out my neighbors in a police line up. I have only met the neighbor to the west of me. Never have seen any of the others except from several hundred feet away. I like it that way.
Backyard. Goes to fence line. Then its owned by ranchers that raise cattle and have several hundred acres.

Front yard. Goes to fence line near street. Around 5 acres at the front. House and back yard are around 3 acres. 8 total.

If the HOA is refusing to enforce its rules you shouldn't have to pay HOA dues. You need to write some sort of letter and get as many neighbors as possible to sign it saying that. If you can get people to pitch in a little money, have a lawyer draft the letter and write it on his stationery. Then the HOA will know you mean business.

I'd keep it as a get out of jail free card. Document everything and then wait for some overzealous informant to fine you for having your grass 1/8" too long or using a doormat that's the wrong shade of beige. Then whip it out (the documentation I mean, get your mind out of the gutter) and kick their ass for selectively enforcing rules.

Yeah mowing sucks. It's not like the old days though. You'd be surprised how much and how fast large acreage can be mowed with the right zero turns. Probably around 4 hours mowing and I just weed eat about a hour till I'm tired of it. No hoa so I keep it how I want it. This is every two weeks. Once the summer hits probably wont mow more than once a month because the heat really stunts growth.

Land is just a buffer from the neighbors. I don't actually keep animals. Previous owner had it fenced for horses and goats. Ive had goat before wasn't the biggest fan.

Cabrito cook-offs can be excellent. Maybe it's just allergies that would have me looking for any alternative to mowing. Or, it could just be laziness.

I have a list of things I could do to a neighbor if annoyed enough, ranging from unusual WTF-moments, to illegal to cruel, but in the case of a HOA, do contact them and insist that they take care of it.

Holding it out as a defense for some future event is worse. If they don't enforce the rules then everyone starts to think they can get out of line and it's "well if you can do that then I can do this" nonsense.

I don't like HOA's much (especially when certain members with no right to amend the rules, take the liberty of passing out rule booklets that oddly have new rules in them that are not part of the agreement, lol) but they might as well do something useful.

Zip tie an air horn so it's active and drop it on their roof with a drone.

Nah, buy a van, paint the Amazon logo on the side. Then get an Amazon box. Fill it with shit. Then deliver it to their front porch. Then fly a drone with a magnifying glass up to light it on fire.

I have lots of stories about inconsiderate neighbours. I am thankful that where I live now there is no one bothering me.

Maybe the op meant 200 feet? I've never heard a wireless speaker that could be annoying two football fields away.

Aiwa Exos-9 claims 100Watts of nose-making wireless boom-boom. And the Soundboks 2 reported featured 122db of suddering sound. Honestly, I do not know if it was wireless. This moron neighbor wasn't on his deck, and didn't have the deck light(s) on. I only saw a colorful LED matching the music and it beat about the place.

My neighbor's stealing my spruce branches again. Helps me I suppose, but it would have been nice if he asked.

We had one neighbour annoy the heck out of us from 1980 to 2002. We sold the house and went elsewhere. She wasn't a neighbour from hell but just did stupid, thoughtless things that got on our nerves. A few times I managed some epic revenge.

several.

I posted my lawnmower revenge story in a previous thread.

There is the dog poop revenge story and the water theft revenge story.

There are also several annoying things stories that just make me cringe.
