I hate how lot of companies don't seem to realize that people work. It's like how parcel delivery services try to deliver before 5 to houses. Don't bother, everyone is at work. Do businesses between 8-5 and do houses after 5.

So glad I work shifts though, as it makes that kind of stuff more convenient since I get lot of time off in the week. It's great doing stuff like grocery shopping in the middle of a week day too, as there's practically not a soul there.

And then you have to pay the employees more, so you have to jack up the prices and everyone bitches about that.

Delivery? Left at door
Service Call? weekends or around 6pm
Repair see service call.

But not this place lol

A big delivery genius. Like a TV or appliance?

You setup a service call for 6PM? Really? I"d love to see proof of that.

Here's a news flash: Other people work too. They do offer after hours and weekend calls but those book up the fastest. Guess why? Because people work during business hours!

The Absolute latest you would want a tech arriving is 6PM. You always want to allow 2-3 hours in case its something detailed. The tech also has no idea how long each call is going to take. So if they schedule you for 6PM and get done with their previous job at 4PM, they would have to sit idle for 2 hours. That won't happen. If they tightened up the scheduling and the previous job took longer, they might show up at your house at 8PM and have to work until 11PM. That won't happen either.

Do you really live in a bubble that small or are you just not smart enough to think these things through?

Great! We will be there to install between the hours of 0600 & 2300.

And we won't be ringing your doorbell. Instead we lightly tap our pinky finger on your screen door twice, and if no one opens the door within 10 seconds, we leave and say that you weren't home.

I haven't had a single service call where they haven't tried contacting me by phone if they didn't get a response at the door.

I see your aura of perpetual disapproval of others grows stronger by the day, as expected.

My wife and I recently ordered something in Japan to have delivered to her father for Father's Day. On the shipping page we were able to select from I think four different delivery times: 9am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-5pm, and after 5pm. I thought that was a really good idea, and I wondered why Canada Post, other courier companies, or service calls can't handle things in a similar way.

Parcel services here in the U.S. deliver to businesses in the day and homes in the evening which sucks because I work in the evening.

I'd happily be one of those weekend people, I can wait 2 weeks for a weekend appointment I don't really care but this company has none of those hours, that is what my rant is about. I am not going to take off work for basic cable.

My unit was hooked up before, Im sure they just unplugged it from the distribution box outside the apartment when the previous tenant left. When I got my comcast internet installed the comcast guy checked the outlets and everything was wired for the cable except one which I have my comcast line on. So literally I have to be home for someone to most likely plug a coax outside my home, which isn't worth my time.

This confuses me.

You have cable internet through Comcast and cable TV through another provider?

Yep, they use "DirecTV Bulk Cable" at this complex they have an HOA so its included in the fees the landlord pays.

I dont watch much tv so its not worth it for me to take off work for it.

You think you have problems? I work 7am to 6pm Mon to Fri (nominally finish at 4pm but it never happens), and every 3rd weekend 7am to 11pm Sat and Sun. Good luck getting anything done, ever. Want to go to the bank? Tough luck. Want to get your car serviced? Ridiculous. Want to see a doctor, or a dentist? You mad devil, you.

Yea it sucks. The worst is trying to find a decent place for a bit to eat after midnight Sunday Night/Monday morning.

These days we have an offshore team that works for us, and they reduce most of our late night work, however, We still wind up working a few hours here or there at 2am.
