the indian government better not fukcing negotiate with the hijackers. the last time an indian plane was hijacked, they flew it to afghanistan. the indian government released some terrorists to end the hijacking. one of the guys that was freed is the leader of the organization that claimed responsibility for the attack in kashmir that killed 40 a few days ago.

Agreed. That was SUCH a dumb thing to do. You do NOT negotiate with terrorists because it opens the floodgates. Even if they had to write off an entire plane its better than having terrorists know you're willing to conceed to them.

Next time an American plane gets hijacked (and hopefully it won't happen again), how about we blow them out of the sky and kill everyone on board, rather then negociating.

Geeze...some people are so idiotic because its not an American plane. People are people. I'm an Indian, and I know that Americans would never deliberatly kill people on board a plane when theres a possibility of averting it. It sickens me how much America look down on the rest of the world sometimes. (I was watching the foxnews channel, and they breifly reported what had happened with the Indian plane, and then went on talking about how it concerns Americans, rather then having concern for the people on board that plane)

This is about the sickest thing I've heard today. I don't give a damn who is on the plane, you don't 'write off' the plane because you're too stubborn to negociate. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have said that about an American plane. Now if they planned to do something with that plane, like the attacks last month, thats a different story.

You DO NOT negociate with terrorists when they have no hostages.

Good link if you understand Hindi. The plane has landed and is surrounded by Commandos. The flight was on route from Mumbai to Ahmadabad.

Plane: 737 Alliance
It landed. 54 passengers on board are all safe.

The pilot asked for two engineers.

<< The aircraft, on its way to Delhi, was hijacked after passing Ahmedabad, initial reports said. The plane, with 46 passengers and 6 crew on board, departed from Mumbai at 11:15 pm.

The plane is now parked at an isolated bay runway 27 of the airport.

"Now if they planned to do something with that plane, like the attacks last month, thats a different story."

Thats the problem, we dont know what terrorists will do now, we thought we did, but.......

Bush already gave the nod to shoot down any newly Hijacked planes.

I hope the commando can take them all out.
The last there was a hijack here, the SWAT team take out all the hijackers.
No trial just one conclusion.

It's sad, but all the people on the plane are insignificant compared to the loss of life that would result by giving in to the terrorists.

If you're going to call what I said sick its time for a lesson in education, so pull up a chair and listen:

Much of the civilized world has a strict NO-NEGOTIATION with terrorist rule. In its purest form this means that "No matter what we will not negotiate." If a hostage says he will blow up a building they will still not negotiate. The reason is simple: If they do negotiate and the terrorist meets his demands, as happened with the last Indian hijacking, it will happen again - and look it has happened again.

Although this doesn't stop terrorists from taking a plane and running it into a building if the terrorists know you will not negotiate then they have no reason to hijack a plane and make demands. They tested the Indian gov't last time and the gov't failed, and now we have this. Sometimes terrorists think this rule doesn't apply to them and they try anyway, but when a government starts taking demands from terrorists they are an easy target.

BTW as mentioned below apparently Bush doesn't think its that sick - next time a plane is hijacked over American soil it will be shot down. This is to minimize casualties if it is used as a missile, and also to ensure that no terrorists get these planes with the hope of making demands.

Bush may have given the order, but I doubt most Americans would be so eager to have a plane full of Americans shot down as they are to shoot down a plane not full of Americans. Simple as that.

I'll admit that you hold a valid point, but regardless of what Bush says, people would not be so eager, especially if they found out that there was no evidence that the plane was going to be used as a missile.

They better not nogotiate with the hostages like they did 2 years ago in Afghanistan. Send in the Commandos, drag the scum out, and slaughter them in plain view.
