Skoorb, I can understand what you are saying but there were no demands in WTC and no negotiating. If 30 minutes before the planes struck the 2 towers and the Pentagon the terrorits called for negotiation, do you really think Bush would have told them to go "Fvk yourselves"?

Skoorb's right. none of the civilized nations negotiate with terrorists. if the indian government does not have troops trained to storm the plane, they should seek israel's help. the plane is on indian soil, unlike last time. the indian government can do what they damn please. they don't have the taleban to contend with this time. israel, i'm sure, would be more than happy to help out. and they do have experience with that kind of a thing.

i just hope everyone is ok. i also hope that it is not the work of islamic terrorists. that's one complication we don't need. india is sure to blame pakistan. any kind of flare up between india and pakistan at this stage is just going to distract from our governments' goal of getting the taleban and bin laden.

edge17, i agree with you in that i wouldn't be too happy seeing an american flight get knocked out of the air over american soil. but, as the people on the flight that crashed in penn. understood, that would be better than what happened in new york. let's hope it doesn't come to that.

MOST americans support the billions in aid we give to the world even though we have hunger, poverty and homeless in our very own country.

Damn my dad just flew to India yesterday and often travels in India from city to city (for business). His main locations are Bombay and Delhi too...hopefully he wasn't in that flight.

As for the indian commandos.. I am sure they are equally trained. I have seen them in action, especially when I lived in India. We had once some black commando's protect a few people including our family. So I have seen them in action before.

I had a teacher in highschool who said that he avoided flying Israeli airliners because the Israeli never negotiate with terrorists, they would use commandos to kill the terrorists even if there if there were high risk for the the passengers, and he was jewish.
