Before you eat go into the rest room to see if they have TP or a Bucket by the loo.

Honestly, there's really no way to go wrong with anything on the menu. I've never had an Indian dish I didn't like. Just pick one at random, and if it's good keep going back and picking a new random dish.

Indian food is amazing. We go out to indian restaurants once every few months. A few years back, when we got hooked on indian food, we frequented one particular indian restaurant once or twice a month.

Some of our favorite dishes (forgive my spelling):
-Paneer Mahkani: Cubes of cheese in a rich creamy red butter sauce.
-Mahkani Chicken: Pieces of boneless chicken in a rich creamy red butter sauce.
-Lamb Roganosh: Boneless lamb in a dark tasty sauce.
-Crab Malabar: Crab meat in a creamy, light colored sauce with chopped tomatoes.

I also like Indian beer (Taj Mahal and King Fischer).

For desert, try the Gulab Jamin (a sweet dough ball in a hot sugary syrup).

Chicken Tikka Masala. You can ask for any level of spiciness that you want.

The sauce they make it in is amazing - put it on some rice and eat it too, you'll enjoy it.

Bring a sandwich or two... and sell 'em for $20 each to the people who are only going because their wife/girlfriend/SO wanted to.

and hope they don't serve the curry to everyone all at once.... explosive gas in combined space is not fun... and neither is a line to the bathroom.

Indian food is one of my favorites. Don't think there's anything I dislike. May have to cook some up tonight.

I love Punjabi style the best. They have the best rice. And for that matter the best bread. Forgot what they call it.

Chicken tikka masala, spinach paneer, naan, some basmati rice, mango lassi to drink and gulab jamun for dessert. Plus a little of every dish you can fit on your plate - it's fun to sample.

Deliciousness all around.

You haven't eaten if you haven't tried Pakistani food.
Love beef biryani and nihari.

I could eat garlic naan every day. It's so damn good. I don't like eating Indian food too often though cus it makes me smell bad like Indians do. Sorry guys but Indians smell real bad.

I ended up ordering chicken tikka masala. It was great!
Definitely going back to try out some other dishes.

A lot of Indian dishes require a delicate balance of flavors to come out right, and so it's sometimes hard to find an excellent restaurant that does Indian food justice.

Chiken tikka is usually good no matter what, but some places manage to eke out particularly scrumptious chicken tikka, so it's a good dish to start off with and gauge if a restaurant is decent.

I don't eat Indian food that often, though. I like to eat plain, minimally spiced foods most of the time as they agree more with my digestive system (and body odor, too ).
