I think I hate George Lucas.
I don't mean old George Lucas that brought us the original (and ONLY in my mind) Star Wars trilogy and the Indiana Jones trilogy. Im talking about the George Lucas as of late.
Seriously, WHY must he ruin everything I've grown to love from movies. I loved the original Star Wars. I loved the three Indiana Jones movies. I can watch an old Indiana Jones movie a million times and not get bored with it. You know why? Those movies had a story. Those movies had dialogue. Indiana Jones 4 did not. Instead it was like a hodge-podge of crap thrown together slapped with an "Indiana Jones" label. There's so many things wrong with this movie that I don't know where to even begin, nor do I want to take the time to type it out. It was a MAJOR disappointment. And the thing that gets me is it could have EASILY been an awesome movie. I didn't ABSOLUTELY hate it, just because I love the Indiana Jones series and there were some things (granted VERY FEW) that I liked in the movie. But I seriously was expecting a much much much much MUCH better movie. I had high hopes for this. With a different script/story and no fucking gophers, nuclear explosions, tarzan-esque swinging from vines, or aliens, it could easily have been one of the best of the summer. Will it make a load of money still? Yes, which will probably make people say it was one of the best movies of the season. But it wasn't.
Who else loved it when Shia Labeouf was getting hit in the nads a million times by trees and not falling off the two vehicles during that fight scene?
George, you owe me $9.25 and the respect I once had for you.
