The only reason this might not suck completely, is that Denis Villeneuve is about as solid a director as you can get right now. Of course that could also mean that he's overdue for a giant mis-step. Depends largely on Hampton Fancher's script, and let's face it, he's not a prolific writer. Of course it's also a bit different since Ford doesn't appear to be the lead character and Blade Runner isn't known for it's action, like Indiana Jones.

All that said, the movie needs to justify why it even exists, and it probably won't.
I'll take a reboot of indiana jones than a comic book movie after comic cook movie after comic book bovie after comic book movie alter comic boob movie...
Why stop there? Hell he should start hitting up sequels and start offing all his on-screen characters: Jack Ryan, Dr. Kimble, Deckard, POTUS...now that would be an awesome wrap to his awesome career.
As others have said, the only way this makes sense is for him to play a role similar to Connery's role in Last Crusade.
Except Connery was still a good actor at that age
Sean was the best. Even at an advanced age he was at the top of his game. A pity he turned down Gandalf in LoTR.
Those staffs did seem to be rather fragile.lol. Indeed!
He would've been good, but I don't have any complaints about Ian's portrayal.
The biggest problem that I had with Gandalf in the movie was his standoff with the Witch King. Gandalf's staff getting broken was total garbage.
Thank you, thank you, I'm here till........oh, today. Gotta run!I laughed way too hard at this. :awe:
Marvell will adapt the Indiana Jones Comics they did into film.

Coincidentally, they just announced they will be showing Indy 1-3 for $5 at my local theater starting in 3 weeks. A different one each week. Definitely going to see them.
Which one are you pretending doesn't exist?
Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Temple of Doom?
The Last Crusade?
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
Indiana Jones and the Islamic State Caliphate?spoiler alert! Shia kills Indy!!!
while at cinemacon (hat tip variety), franchise producer frank marshall reiterated that ford will not be recast as indiana jones, believing that the character is so iconic, only one actor can play him. This stance eliminates any chance of indy 5 being a prequel of sorts, with ford merely bookending an adventure headlined by a younger thespian in the role. As fans theorize about what could happen, that was one possibility discussed, but marshall revealed in his interview that the latest installment will be a continuation of the kingdom of the crystal skull story.
