Next year, one $300 video card will probably be faster than all of those put together.

13 Components needed to build India’s fastest PC :awe:

Processor :- Intel Core i7 – 4960x:
Graphics Cards :- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780Ti in Quad SLI
Motherboard :- ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition
RAM :- Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 2133Mhz
Power Supply Units :- Antec HCP Platinum 1300 Watts + 1000 Watts
Keyboard :- Corsair Vengeance K70
Mouse :- Razer Ouroboros
Headphones : -Sennheiser G4ME Zero
Monitor :- BenQ BL3200PT 32”
CPU Cooler :- NZXT Kraken X60
SSDs :-SanDisk Extreme II 240GB x 4
Case :- Corsair Obsidian 900D
PCIe SSD :- OCZ Z-Drive R4 CM88 1.6TB .

Exhibit A: Crystal Disk Mark 0xFill Sequential Read speed: 1252 MB/s; Sequential Write Speed: 1731 MB/s.

Exhibit B: AS SSD overall benchmark score: 3530; Sequential Read speed: 2419.69 MB/s with an access time of 0.063 ms; Sequential Write speed of 1847.16 MB/s with an access time of 0.161 ms.

The results were synonymous with real world tests too. We recorded read and write speeds of 962 MB/s and 1410 MB/s respectively for a sequential file transfer of 8GB (that’s 8 seconds for an 8GB file by the way). Assorted file read speeds were also equally crazy. We didn’t have any relative performance numbers to quantify the result because we never tested something this fast. This is what happens when you pair an enterprise grade component with a consumer grade ultra high-end PC. On a more practical note, you really don’t need this SSD for any possible home usage scenario. But who cares? This is the Ultimate PC and it needs the ultimate components. Nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe, this will give India some much needed porn streaming and put an end to all the gang rapes.

How the hell do you get $27,000 out of that?

You're right. Priced with Partspicker at $17274.33 , based on the list. :awe:
Note:
1. No Operating system and optical drive prices were included (not on the list).
2. NZXT Kraken X60 - no current price (unavailable). Assume $135.99 (newegg)

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9yXfxr

Potential Issues/Incompatibilities

  • 1 additional PCI-Express x8 slot is needed.
  • Antec 1300W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply may not provide sufficient wattage. The estimated part list maximum power draw is 1312W.
  • Some Intel X79 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs.
  • The Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Ivy Bridge-E CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

What? what is this you speak of? I am not familiar with any other platforms where one can play modern good games like Albion Prelude, Europa Universalis, or Dwarf Fortress... As far as I know, PC is still the ONLY platform with gaming,

Nobody plays those games anymore, now it's all about Candy Crush, Flappy Bird and Farmville!

I mean that as a joke but sadly that's almost the truth.

OK, I saw the flappy bird, that was a mini game in goat simulator, it reminded me of Joust from the C64 era ....

Which makes zero sense, considering they only have to travel essentially across the street to get them from the factory.

Not really. Most computer components are still manufactured in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, China, and Thailand. I'm sure are plenty of factories and plants in India and other countries like Mexico, but most of the large fabs/foundries seem to be elsewhere at the moment.

Thats true, infact so as electronics is concern hardly any manufacturing happens in India. Its mostly China and Taiwan.
