Hopefully it is the beginning of the end of the Orange Scourge that calls himself POTUS.

Like I said previously - You don't need to worry about Trump, he will slit his own throat.

But what does TLC know about politics? Pay no attention to what that doofus says.
.
The Orange Clown isn't going to go quietly. His best buddies are dictators who have used crises as a means to expand their power, and I expect Trump to try to do the same.

You bolded the words because it describes your lame attempts to engage me, newb. But you're a complete moron with zero class and no style whatsoever. You should sit back and learn from some of the old-timers in here instead of posting your spittle-filled tripe. It might serve you well in the future but I really don't see much hope for you. You seem to lack any real response talent whatsoever.

Laterz homez.

You're completely awesome!

I think I do alright.
This newb thing is something I should be ashamed of? That's silly.
The bold was because I amuse myself. Seriously.
Oh I'm classy, drink my tea with my pinky extended and everything.
I don't have a ton of style, that's true. My wardrobe is nothing to write home about but when it counts I manage and look damn fine.
Are you one of these old-timers you spoke of? I see no specific talent in your posts/responses.
Umm, I was not informed that we were in the throes of a Response Talent Show. Huh, well.... I win! Must just be the worst to lose to a newb.
*I will not be adding this win to my life achievements. You should however keep your loss here as an endless shame.
*Since we're keeping score, you relented and acknowledged me. That's another win for me... A newb. No really, how ridiculous do you feel?

Blame? I credit right wing propagandists for their intense FUD campaign spanning decades. Trump voters didn't get to be the way they are overnight or by accident, either.

He saw this assemblage of terribly disinformed, confused & bitter people as a vehicle to fulfill his ambitions & used it accordingly, just better than his Repub rivals. He captured the "Fuck You!" spirit of the Repub base & rode it to victory with more than a little help from the Repub propaganda machine, the Alt-right troll brigades & the Russians as well.
He carried off the greatest con job in the history of American politics.

That might be but deprogramming half the populus is not going to happen overnight. For now 50% of your population is carrying that half the truth, no way to get around that so whatever paradigm one suggests it has to be a holistic construct that speaks to these people as well, programmed or not. This should be a time of healing and coming together. Maybe after russiagate?

I'm sorry, I don't mean to come off that way. I'm a guy without a party. I almost feel like a guy without a country anymore. You guys don't like what I'm saying, my conservative acquaintances don't like it either. I just can't shake the feeling that things are getting worse in a positive-feedback loop kind of very bad way.

I just wish I could do something about it.

And people like you are why it's getting worse!
People like you who have lost faith in the system because you think both sides are the same doesn't fix anything. If you want to fix things then you need to get rid of the cancer first.
People like you are an enabler for those who refuse to see their own faults. Why should they criticize their party and their politicians when you've offered them a scapegoat, "both sides are bad". If both sides are bad then why not just stick with the team you are on?

Democrats are their biggest critics and they do a pretty good job of self policing.

It's not half the population at all. Trump was elected by ~26% of registered voters & not everybody is registered to vote. Of those, I figure Hillary's remark about half being deplorables is about right with the other half being susceptible to reason. I figure those percentages probably hold among all the people who didn't vote, who've bought into the "they're just as bad" routine to some degree or another.

This election had absolutely nothing to do with "Holistic Concepts" at all. It had to do with built up spite & resentment, with fear, uncertainty & distrust, with demagoguery atop decades of well financed & formulated right wing mind rot. It had to do with the looting of the middle class with top down class warfare & people who couldn't see through the deceptions that enable it.

Or, back in reality, it was a wholesale rejection of Hilary Clinton. Try not to cry

The reality that anyone halfway decent should have been able to beat Trump is painful to grasp. I can sympathize with this to an extent, but the problem is that subsequently focusing on the relentless demonization of the opposition, or the middle for that matter, can't achieve anything constructive.

Who is Claude Taylor? Serious question.

Louise Mensch, who this thread is based on, and Claude Taylor are Twitter "reporters". she is a Republican and he is a Democrat and they have been tag teaming leaked info recently. while much of their reporting has been on a conspiratorial level, it all seems to fit into reality and as time goes on seems to only be proven correct.

if they turn out to be correct, they will go down in history as the Bernstein and Woodward of Trumpgate.

i don't even know where to post this so the general indictments thread it is...

'Trump Team Knew Flynn Was Under Investigation Before He Came to White House'

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/17/...n-donald-trump-national-security-adviser.html

Yeah, this had to be more or less known, because Trump blamed Obama "for not removing Flynn's security clearance, first! when Obama knew about him!" when speaking with Lester Holt. As soon as he said that I was like...waidaminute...how do you know this? meaning--if the Pres' team knows information for the transition team, knowing that new pres is bringing on Flynn--all of this would have been divulged to Trump and his team. All of it. And I seem to recall a few Obama people already mentioning this in the papers.

So here, Trump admits to knowing about Flynn's issues, obviously not caring because "good guy. the best, really a great, good, real guy with brain and great you know he's just really one of those just great," later fires him for these very same issues when it is publicly toxic...and it's not Trump's poor judgement.

lol.

Yes, Hillary "should have been" able to beat Trump. In some rational world we don't live in, of course.

Except Trump isn't a dictator, he only believes he is, which will cause him to make even more idiotic decisions to further his tailspin. Watching him whine like a little bitch as he gets smacked down to the bottom, and he will whine incessantly, is going to be most pleasurable.

So before the election you believed Trump would defeat Hillary? I sure would like to see proof of that, Jhhnn. Oh, wait. There's already is proof:

And there's plenty more. Now you're singing an alternate reality tune, badly, and out of key.

lol

That's pretty twisted, even for you. Turns out I was mistaken when I said

I refuse to believe that enough Americans are blind stupid angry enough to make Trump president.

I really thought that my fellow Americans were more rational than they proved to be. You, know, a more perfect world.

Politics? Rational?

All anyone need do is read the posts from either major party adherent in here to realize that politics and rationality have absolutely nothing in common. They both still seem to believe that "My dog's better than your dog, my dog's better than yours." What they don't seem to realize is they are both betting on political dogs.
