I wasn’t talking about legal liability.I think Manafort & Stone have very different levels of legal liability. Even if Stone conspired with Assange or the Russians to provide the Trump campaign with illegally obtained information it doesn't even approach the level of malfeasance already proven against Manafort. From the beginning it was clear the only thing that would save Manafort from a very looong stretch was a pardon or commutation of sentence. For a 69 year old guy, 20 years or 200 is no difference. Stone really isn't facing that level of retribution so a plea could do him some good if he has no faith in his old friend Trump. I mean, who would unless they had no choice?
Stone comes off to me more like Carter Page autistic, he might even believe his own drivel... Manafort is a 100p psychopath bad to the bone kind of guy. His family will publish books in the future to this testament I am sure.Don’t think so. Stone is cut from the same cloth as Manafort and we’re getting to the point where Mueller doesn’t need anymore cooperators. He’s going to start putting people away in prison for the rest of their lives.
Stone and Manafort are at the top of my list of people that need to go away forever.
Probably even more unknowns in the mix too.Add Paten to that list.
I recommend watching Maddow, tonight's (Friday) edition. LOADS of disturbing detail.
Convicted former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos has publicly contradicted Attorney General Jeff Sessions' sworn testimony to Congress, saying both Sessions and Donald Trump apparently supported his proposal that Trump meet with Vladimir Putin during the 2016 campaign, according to a court filing late Friday night.
"While some in the room rebuffed George's offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it. George's giddiness over Mr. Trump's recognition was prominent during the days that followed," Papadopoulos' lawyers wrote in a court filing Friday. Papadopoulos' legal team said that he has shared with special counsel Robert Mueller his recollections of the March 31, 2016, meeting.
Sessions, when asked about that meeting under oath, said that he "pushed back" on the idea of the Putin summit. CNN previously reported that Trump "heard him out," according to another adviser in the room, when Papadopoulos proposed the idea and offered to help execute it.
Let 'em do it as the base is so stupid that they'll applaud it as a great thing. How much you guys want to bet the republicans use this as a reason that sessions needs to be fired, even though its equally damning against trump.
In a filing yesterday by Papadopoulos' lawyer they completely contradicted Sessions sworn testimony during his confirmation.

Sessions is the only man standing between Trump and the DOJ. If Papadopoulos can take out Sessions, then you can bet the replacement AG will end the investigations, allow as many pardons as possible, and keep the whole lot of them above the law. It's a get out of jail free card.
If Trump and company takes out Sessions, they take out the DOJ.
Of course that also requires yet another complete about face and for them to take the word and act on the word of someone who previously they said was a liar. Of course his supporters in congress and the general public will again ignore all of that to slobber on his knob.Sessions is the only man standing between Trump and the DOJ. Nixon didn't have Congress and Fox news in his back pocketNixon tried something like that. It didn't work.
Nixon didn't have Congress and Fox news in his back pocket
That was the point. What do you think they've been doing this whole time?!
Yea, I don't see any Liddy in Stone.I think Manafort & Stone have very different levels of legal liability. It's his own fault. He tells the truth, he's going to be looking over his shoulder, the rest of his life, even in prison. Russia never gives up.Yes, and the oligarch who provided the money, who is an associate of Manafort, is also connected to the GRU. How about that, Manafort's campaign chairman was a business associate of a man connected to the Russian intel agency who hacked the DNC and Podesta e-mails.
I'm beginning to think that Manafort knows more than anyone what really happened here. It's too bad he hasn't flipped yet.
About as damaging as the testimony that OHow much you guys want to bet the republicans use this as a reason that sessions needs to be fired, even though its equally damning against trump.
This just to start with. The man has Nixon's name tattooed on his back. Says everything to me. And he been pulling dirty political tricks since way back.If you want to know how big a POS Roger Stone is, watch the documentary “Get me Roger Stone”

Nixon tried something like that. It didn't work.
He did, and then Nixon's party revolted. The only thing that saved the country was when the GOP revolted against their GOP president. Nixon also had something like sub-20% support in the country, and sub-40% support in the party.
Trump commands nearly 90% support in this GOP party of craven asshole traitors. There is absolutely nothing at this point that will convince the Turtle and the Illiterate Middle-school Ayn Rand Fan Club President that Trump needs to go after he axes the DOJ.
They won't do it. Not a fucking chance. Don't even pretend that they will do it.
