You have to like Trump's own words coming back to haunt him, as they so often do.

Thankfully, they likely don't need Flynn to self-incriminate to get a conviction. My question: can they offer him a lighter sentence in return for cooperation? He had offered to testify in return for immunity, but that was likely because he was expecting to say nothing of merit (that Trump wanted him to get immunity was a sign it was a bad idea). He may sing a different tune if he knows it's the difference between eventual release and dying in prison.

I'm curious, what is Louise Mensch's track record with events that have transpired in the last few weeks? Has she been spot on with everything relative to WH handling of Comey's firing, the appointment of Mueller, and news related to the Flynn case? It seems to me, at least, that everything she's reported on the blog to date has been somewhat pointed in the right direction, but full of erroneous facts and debunked claims, as well as a complete lack of understanding of the process. Its almost as if their sources tell them something, and they spin it to fit their own narrative, but demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of what the source was actually speaking about.

Going forward, I wouldn't trust anything she says until the MSM can confirm it.

I view it kind of like raw intel. Leading in the right direction, the actual events will fall somewhere in the probability cone around that track. The overall theme is tracking. Details are off. Some people are trying to pick her apart based on semantics/poor word choices or her general lack of knowledge in some specific areas. They can't see the forest for the trees. She does seem to have some decent sources though.

I agree on this, she seems to be generally right in the whole 'things are getting worse for Trump' direction but she consistently gets crucial details totally wrong. She's not quite infowars level as what she's saying seems to be at least somewhat grounded in reality but she's in no way a reliable source.

Errr... you are aware most of those claims from the anonymous sources you hate so much were later verified... right? Flynn lying, Trump sharing classified info with the Russians (at this point the WH only denies that Israel was mentioned, which wasn't even part of what Trump was accused of), and Comey's memos, just to name a few.

The leaks have been more truthful than anything that's come out of Trump's or Spicey's mouth.

And many more, including all those reports which came out the same day that Comey was fired, stating that WH sources told them Trump had really fired Comey over the investigation, which Trump then confirmed first to the Russians, then in a TV interview. The fact that Flynn asked for immunity was first reported from anonymous sources, then confirmed when they published the letter from his lawyer.

If one was really determined to sift through every anonymously sourced news report over the past 4 months, I bet there are no fewer than 20 examples of such stories being confirmed.

New CNN report says they have sigint, intercepted communications, suggesting that the Russians have "derogatory" information of a financial nature on Trump and were trying to use it. The usual caveats apply - that the Russians might have been exaggerating or intentionally supplying disinformation (knowing they were being taped).
