Interesting.

Took a page from the Hillary playbook huh?

"I don't recall" answer more than 36 times (21 out of 25 in a row) is the same as "refusing to answer questions". Never mind her aid pleading the 5th 125 times in a row. I know, I know, its ok when the left does it. Same as everything else. Something about stones and glass.

wow, 36 "not recalls" in how many--12, 15 investigations? Ol Jeffy is currently hitting 80-90 "don't recalls" after a mere 2 rounds of questions.

Oh yeah, but both sides. just as bad. Just as much to hide. etc.

Previously undisclosed emails show follow-up after the Trump Tower meeting. Just reported on CNN .

It was just positive feedback from the lovely window treatments at T Tower. The Rooskies were impressed with all the fake gold.

Speaking of Trumps hotels, were you aware that their profits are imploding?

Room rates across President Donald Trump’s global hotel empire have nosedived by as much as 63 percent since he moved into the White House while the billionaire continues to deal with allegations of conflicts of interest since taking office.

Twelve of Trump’s 13 titular hotels experienced a decline in room rates when comparing prices from January 2017 to January 2018, according to the Telegraph, which cited travel currency service FairFX.

Prior to his inauguration, a two-night stay at Trump Las Vegas cost $844, but now goes for $314, the biggest fall for one of the president’s properties.

I heard this the other morning, but it also seems to be the case that his properties in and around DC have seen heavy traffic and seem to be booked at a very high rate. I missed numbers or specifics, but the dude reporting this suggested that his properties in DC might now be compensating for heavy losses everywhere else.

Now, obviously, this creates a huge problem for Trump and his family, because this is some serious influence-peddling. People well know that all it takes to get the fucker to listen to you is to shove some money his way. And these criminals in the trump family are just pathetically bad at hiding it.

Why exactly did you feel the need to insert this off topic comment into this particular thread? This thread is about the Russia investigation, and you're instead drawing it into yet another Sanders v Clinton argument. So instead of talking about an ongoing investigation into the possible corruption of a sitting POTUS, we are drawn into a discussion about 2 people who did not win last year, and engaging more speculation about what would have happened in the general election had the primaries turned out differently?

Who needs republican whataboutclintonism when we have you to provide these distractions?

I don't know why you're singling me out (although I suspect it's personal) when Sanders/Clinton and primary discussion had been going on for nearly a page. In fact, my comment was in response to a few posters ridiculing another poster for citing an unscientific Facebook poll. The point of my post was that there is substantial evidence for broad Sanders support outside that poll. If you don't think that discussion belongs in this thread, you should probably take it up with the mods.

You're correct. Your post wasn't in reply to anything so I thought you brought it up first. My apologies.

By the way, on this board, it's never "personal." Not for me, anyway. I may be reacting to past opinions of a poster, but I know essentially nothing about any of you outside this board so by definition, it's never personal.

Before Obama came along, Carter was known as the worst Democratic President ever by most people. Bill Clinton was known as the best modern Democratic President right up until it was clear that Hillary was going to be the nominee. McCain was helped by the fact that he remained a Senator and is also helped by support from gullible Democrats.

Romney: https://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/mitt-romney-favorability

How's Mondale? Dukakis? Dole? Kerry?

I suppose you think Gore using a private jet renders his message null and void? Of course not, so why lend that message any credence at all?

I don't think Carter ever evoked that kind of passion out of people save for right wing radio psychopaths. As far as Gore is concerned, obviously his behavior doesn't change the truth of climate change, but it's deeply hypocritical to live the kind of life that he has lived and then scold everyone else for their consumption. Saying that it's okay to have a bunch of big houses because you pay extra money for renewable energy is fucking outrageous. I think that's undeniably and justifiably made him an unpopular figure.

i don't recall trump saying that he isn't under investigation recently.

it seems he has moved to the "there was no collusion" defense.

I don't remember him scolding anyone but I obviously don't keep tabs on his every word. Regardless, I get that it is hypocritical. I do think it could be possible for him to be overall carbon negative at which point the extent of the offense IMO would simply be reduced to torpedoing his own message.

My main point I wanted to make about it is that you bringing it up helps the deniers and harms everyone else, even if you don't mean it that way and just want a pure party. You will never have a pure party. Get it off your agenda at least until we can afford to nitpick to such a preposterous level.

Oh, and you are misremembering the 80s and 90s with respect to Carter. He was America's punching bag for most of that time period, except for the hippies. By the end of the 80s the liberals are the source of all our problems campaign was already going mainstream. The election of Bill Clinton was going to be the end of the fucking world, which is why so many disillusioned conservatives and independents were duped into voting for Perot, myself included.

Apparently Flynn's deal includes his cooperation with state officials, so he will be out of reach of a pardon.

The leverage required for that suggests maybe more than just a couple lies.

Looks like Papadopoulos' fiance isn't happy with how Trump has been characterizing him.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/geor...t-trump-campaign-coffee-boy/story?id=51654250

Mangiante said she decided to speak publicly to counter claims from President Donald Trump and his aides that Papadopoulos was, as Trump tweeted, a “young, low level volunteer.” Or in the words of campaign adviser Michael Caputo, a “coffee boy.”

Mangiante said he was far from a bit player in the historic Republican campaign.

“First of all, I would love George to learn how to make a coffee, because it's absolutely out of his skills,” she joked. “George is a remarkable young man with incredible experience in the field of energy and oil policies. This experience led him to get into the campaign and to advise the president at only 28 years old."

-----------------------------

Mangiante said that while she is eager to offer proof that Papadopoulos was a campaign insider, she has been instructed by attorneys to not provide emails or other possible evidence to reporters.

“He never took any initiative, as far as I know, [that was] unauthorized. All the initiatives had [the] blessing of the campaign,” she said.

Rut Roh!
Washington (CNN)Candidate Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr. and others in the Trump Organization received an email in September 2016 offering a decryption key and website address for hacked WikiLeaks documents, according to an email provided to congressional investigators.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/08/polit...trump-campaign-wikileaks-documents/index.html

Being fair it's from Fake News CNN & an email received doesn't mean you acted upon it. I will say it would be very uncharacteristic of the Trump family not to use every available tool to win. Shit Trump literally wrote a book about competitions

Democrats seek alleged evidence of anti-Clinton 'bias' at the FBI

Amid GOP attacks on the bureau, House Democrats say the FBI's real prejudice was against their party's 2016 presidential nominee.

It's about time. They're going to look into the BS that True Pundit peddled that led to Comey letter. Many actors in this besides possible active FBI/retired FBI agents that include: Prince, Ghouliani, possibly Pirro et al.
