My personal opinion of Comey is he is a weasel which he pushed me over the edge with his ( in my opinion ) meddling with the election via his flip flopping. Also why did he not say anything when the AG told him to not call an investigation an investigation. Why did he not say anything to Trump when he allegedly stated that he hoped Comey could see his way to dropping the Flynn investigation... Why did he leak the notes he took as a Government employee. I think by FBI Rules these notes belong to the FBI and are privieged information. I think now Comey is in revenge mode and if nothing else wants to make Trump miserable.

And yes I agree that Trump does have a large ego and is willing to "expand the truth" or lie in order to keep it inflated.

I think the real truth lies somewhere in the middle between these two. Do I think any of it is criminal? No, I don't think any of this will amount to criminal charges on either side.

I keep me of agree Comey gave something for everyone in regards to Trump essentially saying if you need to resign I understand and add that to I need this cloud lifted. Plus the Lynch stuff but those are all just words. I've heard similar vague directions at work regarding sales targets and padding numbers.

My main point is Comey was not the right guy for the time. I'm still pretty pissed at him for going out of his way and holding essentially two press conferences about Hillary being irresponsible and the Weiner stuff, which no other FBI director has ever done then not applying that same standard to Trump/Trumps campaign guys about suspicious contacts with Russians.

Not sure if it's been posted, but Mueller is not settling for second best. All many of us want is an honest look at the facts, and the people he's bringing in are heavy hitters.

This guy has argued 100 cases before the Supreme Court...have to wonder if this signifies anything, or is just covering bases.

Comey has only flipflopped if you think in strictly partisan terms. If you think of it as Comey demonstrating the duty & impartial integrity of the FBI it doesn't look that way at all. This clip shows what I'm talking about-

I think it was arrogant & foolish of him to place the integrity of the FBI above the welfare of the Nation in his letter to Congress about Weiner's laptop. He enabled even greater insanity than the raving over Hillary's email which is the Birther in Chief as President.

Trump simply does not belong at the head of this great nation. He's not just incompetent but actually malevolent to the welfare of the people in many respects. His Republican cohorts are no better. What they're good at is enhancing the power of the Plutocracy above the interests of the rest of us.

Yeah, I had posted that in one of these related threads. Mueller isn't playing with who he's bringing onto his staff. It's legal community version of the Avengers.

Agree on the last part. Problem being, I don't see the other side taking that approach. I predict lots of "FAKE NEWS" cries. Wouldn't shock me to see some level of push back or insurrection as a result. That's just how detached from reality his crazy base is.

You believe through sheer partisan willpower rather than any examination of facts.

Remember what Comey said about us being attacked? What he didn't say is that the attack was highly successful. Conservative headsets & Trump as President stand as tribute to that.
