You're right, he isn't that bad. He is GODAWFUL TERRIBLE.
Check out his preseason snaps.
I dont watch preseason, not real football.
and really, kind of a boycott for the lockout, they wont get my ratings

Well he's got to be better than PAINter. Dude can't even manage to get a 1st down.
Kerry Collins? WHY!? I hear Jeff George is still available...

You mean Jeff "Giant Helmet" George?
awesome
Collins is like Rex Grossman with a better record--sometimes he's great, he tends to be good enough on a great team, or he can be downright wretched.
At the very least, he has tons of experience, including solid post season experience.
Don't delude yourself, Collins really isn't very good at all. He's somehow lasted for a long time, which gives people the idea that he must be good, but he really isn't. And I don't know what you mean by "good enough." If you mean "good enough" to never win a game that matters, then yes, he's "good enough."
Kerry Collins is like Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Johnny Unitas combined compared to Curtis Painter. Really, you can't possibly get any worse than Painter. Hard to believe that just a few short years ago, Painter was being mentioned as a possible first round pick.
He is even worse in regular season. A career rating of 9.8.
Collins is a good signing.

9.8? How is he still a QB in the NFL? How many years does he have under his belt?
so like how Dan Marino was "good enough?"
and Peyton Manning was good enough for the first 9? years of his career?
John Elway was "good enough" for all but his final 2 seasons, as well.
The 2002 Giants rode their defense to the Super Bowl and watched Collins implode in epic fashion. Sure, he was facing the Ravens, but he posted a QB rating of 7 with 4 INTs. Sorry, but that just plain sucks.
All I said was that he's Rex Grossman with more experience, and I meant it.
He's a much better option for the Colts.

Fair enough. That is definitely true.
Which is terrifying if you're a Colts fan.
