Cool I never tried it so that's good to know. I dunno why my tapatalk is not displaying my participated posts anymore. I have to manually search for threads I posted in unless someone quotes me then it goes to notifications area.

Anyway I was able to upgrade my smoke meter and I got two more missiles. I've just been running around the city so far. I end up going to take out the conductors and die because there are way too many enemies.

The turrets and the heavy rock guys are tough. Also, does anyone see a quit option or do you just hold the ps button and close the game because that's what I've been doing. I save the game after some upgrades manually but I don't know if it loads from that save or from the auto save feature.

Yeah Tapatalk doesn't work right for me anymore either. I ended up fully upgrading my Smoke and now I have fully upgraded Neon with an Infamous criminal record.

All the upper districts are complete with 0% DUP presence and all the side objectives complete. I'm starting the Origami Paper Trail stuff now but so far it seems stupid. You find dead bodies, upload crime scene photos to your website profile and then read the origami dove to get some back story.

I think I am the exception to the rule. Everyone kept saying that if you didn't like the first two, you wouldn't like this one. But I couldn't put it down this weekend. I started with the story, but then decided to just run around and clear the map. I just barely got neon but I am already a level 4 good guy. I chose to go good for my first play because they say being a bad guy is a little easier since you don't have to worry about anything, so I figured I would leave that for my run on expert difficulty.

I didn't play the first two.. but if you save in the middle of a mission does it restart from the beginning if you load? I didn't get much time to play yesterday but probably re-did 5 minutes of that first mission like 4 times since I kept getting interupted throughout the day.

I really enjoyed the first two but combat is much improved in this one. It's fun to kill bad guys. All the effects of neon and smoke look real good. Only thing that sucks is that with smoke, the standard shot is horrible weak. I'm inFamous, highest bad level, but use neon because it's easier for me to kill everyone. Plus you get around faster.

There is a build with the good side that allows you to instantly takedown enemies with head shots, plus you get a good karma point for it, so you build your karma bomb pretty quickly. I am not digging the neon right now, but that's probably because I need to build it up a bit more, because I have every unlock done on the smoke side.

The neon is much more powerful. When you get to the lower districts it makes a world of difference. I have both smoke and neon maxed on the evil side. I find smoke kind of annoying how you can only dash twice in a row and you end up slow running everywhere. With neon you get to run much faster and can do it indefinitely with an upgrade.

I would have loved if they would let you just store up smoke and neon and bounce back and forth, but that would have probably made you way too powerful. Either way, I know I am loving this one. I still have a while to go to finish, and with a paper due next week I am sure I won't get as much time as I would want to play it this week but I am going to play it whenever I get the chance. Some of my friends were even bugged that I wouldn't get on to play titanfall with them, but I was having way too much fun on second son to go play titanfall.

I hear that...I didn't want to stop playing this game at all but I have to work too lol.

Switching on the fly would have been awesome, but I think being able to absorb either of them at any time during a fight is cool too. No neon around? Go up that wall and get the smoke from the pipe. I never seem to be out of options for ranged attacks.

Gah, that damn commercial with the Mudhoney song really makes me want to play this. I think I will wait for a price drop though.

Do I need I just keep taking down conductors if I want neon or do you get it after a mission?

I'm not sure if you will find a price drop on this game any time soon.

You get neon as part of the main story. It's absolutely worth getting through that point of the story; neon is a blast, especially with the upgrade to infinite dash endurance for neon.

Really? I didn't see an upgrade for that. Everything with neon seems to be good karma=leg shots & evil karma=headshots, but I may have missed something.

Neon really clicked for me as a good guy w/ the extended slo-mo time, and the automatic slo-mo reset with dash upgrades. Now I can shoot a guy in the leg (takedown), then dash away from incoming fire and shoot another guy, and repeat over and over again until the whole group is taken care of. With the slo-mo you usually can limit the damage you take as the enemies haven't locked on to you yet.

One of the uprising missions sent a chopper while I had neon, and that SOB was very hard to take down with neon. I dashed up a building and changed to smoke because the smoke missiles took down choppers quite quickly before. I don't know if that fight would have felt as satisfying if I could have just switched to smoke as soon as I saw the chopper. Having to think about which power is best for the moment and then having to run and get it I think makes combat feel a little more involved and challenging.

Yup that's why I use neon, everything is faster, plus being evil, I can dash and do one hit takedowns and get evil karma, with smoke it's harder since you can barely dash far and the normal smoke weapon sucks bad, like throwing tennis balls, but the smoke shotgun blast is awesome.

Okay, one of the upgrades makes it so when you use the grenade, enemies get subdued when you shoot them anywhere on their body. Definitely makes life easier for the good guys.

Got to the 2nd part of the city. Some pretty tough enemies but I don't feel overwhelmed yet. Things are getting a little repetitive but once I max out karma I won't feel like I have to keep doing the drug busts. Those are the biggest offenders.

So now I've cleared every district 100%. DUP is eliminated in all areas including showdowns, got every secret agent, every audio log, every hidden camera, every security camera, every scanning station(and I destroyed every suspect holding cage), every stencil art, and only need one tracker drone which is at a location you cannot access until the final mission. I also decided to grab the trophies for beating up sign twirlers, street musicians, Akuran gang members, and activist rallies.

Now I can do the missions lol

Anyone got the third power yet? What is your favorite? I still like neon because the effects are cooler and the places you can recharge at are more plentiful but the third one seems more powerful but a lot slower and you're more vulnerable. It seems like it since you can't get away as fast. I'm trying not to give things away in case it might be considered a spoiler which is why I'm being pretty vague.

I'm just about to tackle the final mission (I think). I've cleared over half the districts so far. Tomorrow I'll likely finish my initial play through on good and will go after the evil track after a couple of days of getting all trophies I can on my current path.

So far, neon is probably my favorite, but I do like the subdue smoke headshots and some of the third power. Haven't upgraded that power much yet but will before the final battle.

Yeah I maxed out the third power. It is cool, but the karma bomb from neon is a lot more powerful. Some people say you can cheap out by using third power to rack up a quick karma streak then grab neon and use your karma bomb which does damage to a bigger area. Although with the third power there is an ability that if used right you never need to karma bomb because it can be abused. As for trophies someone on my friend list got a platinum already. He is the type of person who speed rushes a game by following a guide and looks up all the trophies and how to get them. Once he gets the trophies he stops playing. I don't think he even takes the time to enjoy the game. I mean, I am having a blast exploring the city as I go and looking at the buildings and shops. The little touches like the news reports about what's happening as you go are great.

basically with the video power you press L1 to go invisible and summon an angel or demon to fight for you (up to 3) and you are able to run up to an enemy and subdue them or execute. You simply repeat this over and over until you get a karma streak. Then just grab some neon which is everywhere and unleash it to remove all the enemies. Or you can just run around, go invisible, and take out everyone one by one. You can just spam this. It is kinda cheap but it works great on the normal DUP.

I just hope they keep expanding the game via dlc. I don't want it to end

We'll see. I'm sure there'll be DLC but it probably won't be much more than dumping more bad guys into locations we've already played to death. It'd be fantastic if they added on to the map via DLC.

So does it seem like a short game? How many missions would you say not counting the other quests. I've yet to even start the second mission. I need to look at the map first and figure out what I want to do. It probably makes sense to clear the DUP out of all the areas you can first before doing the missions.

Well there are different locations, once you finish everything in the first area, you unlock another area.
