Anybody buying it?
I think Da Vinci Lode was the last book I read in 1 night
I frequently read authors who borrow from plagiarized fake historical accounts.
We all love taking people down a notch, down we?
Not sure what you are referencing here? Do you know the story behind TDC?

Yeah, don't care. If the original source was palatable, we would all be reading that instead.
People do the same thing in music. "So and so band stole all of their music from blues artists without giving credit."
So and so band also repackaged and marketed that material in an appealing way that a lot of people liked. An idea in itself is worthless unless you develop its potential.
You realize the book is fiction, right? It's not trying to pass itself off as anything else.
It's like complaining that Star Wars borrows from fake rocket science accounts.
No and no.
Aside from Mr. Brown's "writing" ability, which in and of itself is enough to disqualify this book from reading consideration, you have the wonderful tale behind the TDC to dissuade you.
More palatable, OK. I'm sure a gothic novel is supposed to be more palatable than a "History" book...
I'm quite aware of the classification of TDC and it's purpose. You fail to understand my complaint.
Thought Angels & Demons was the best. Digital Fortress was pretty good. Davinci Code was the least exciting out of the 4 I read, and understandable why Ron Howard did it first. IMO I think he wanted to make sure Angles and Demons was done with the least amount of Director suck as possible. Deception Point was another good one.
I kept trying to think of the one Dan Brown book I happened to read, which made me say 'holy fucking shit, this guy is legitimately retarded.' That's the one; thanks.
On another note: holy fucking shit is this guy retarded. Why on earth does anyone read his pathetic scribblings? He makes James Patterson look like Hemingway.
Quick everyone stop reading these books you enjoy, some guy on the internet says this work of fiction you have been reading isn't real!
lol, this place never fails to crack me up.
