Must not buy.... Keep repeating the line "I love my car" over and over and over...

That is a lot of car for $499 a month ($600 a month if you factor in down payment)

Damn you Infiniti!!!!!

$500/mo is a lot of money to give it back

It's a $48,000 car so the payment would be over $800 a month and that is at 1.9%

Plus it is a 39 month lease, how many people keep a car longer than that?

And did I mention that it is a damn nice car too

BTW I have not bought one and most likely wont, but it is a good deal for a high end convertible.

Is it ugly like the sister 350z vert? $24k is more than enough to buy you proper vert like S20000, Boxster S, C5 vert, etc. You could even buy used Lexus SC400 if you're into the fake luxury sport vert thing. Or e46 M3 vert if you want 4 seats.

Just not seeing the excitement of 3 1/2 year lease. One or two year lease could get me excited. Any longer I would rather buy.

The G and Z look nothing alike.

Have you driven it? It's been panned in reviews for lack of rigidity and ruining the G's good dynamics. I'd much rather go with the 370Z convertible which somehow Nissan did a better job on even though I believe they are based on the same platform.

I think the G is more closely related to the Maxima than the Z. Take a look at the interior of both - the Maxima and G share the same layout, similar sizing, the Z is much more cramped feeling.

No, G and Maxima are two totally separate lines and the G is smaller than Maxima.

edit: the G37 (including the sedan) is on the Nissan FM platform which includes the 370Z.

The G is basically a maxima interior with the FM platform stretched out to fit. The basic underpinnings are related to the 370Z but they're definitely different cars.

IMO the new G looks a lot more tame compared to the previous generation, especially the convertible.

Have you looked at the three vehicles recently?

Have you? The only thing similar is the nav/info area. It's already been established that the G and Maxima are different platforms.

BTW I just test-drove a Maxima and bought a G37.

I've driven the Maxima and the G within the last month, and saw all three vehicles at the NE Car Show. The interior of the 370Z looks nothing like the interior of either of the other two; the interiors of the Maxima and the G are very similar. Navigation, information, dashboard shape, center console and shifter structure... it's all there. The same cannot be said for the 370Z to the Maxima or G - wildly different.

So, what you're saying is, the G is a 370z with a prettied up Maxima interior and less agressive body.

May want to look at the interior pictures again. While the G, 370Z, and Maxima have the same nav/info screen and dials; the Z has the same audio and hvac controls as the Max as well as the same steering wheel. The shifter structure is similar between the G and Z but not the Max especially when you compare the 6mt (G & Z) to the CVT (Max)
