Isn't the 4800 simply the home video optimized version of the X1, which was going for $699 new
To my knowlege the X1 nor the 4800 have ever been sold for $699 new .... rebate or otherwise included.
Yes, Infocus did put out the 4800 as a more video friendly version of the X1 ... not as much tweaking is involved to get a really good viewing picture. They are however essentially the same unit.
$799 is not a bad price for the 4800 but not that great either (at least for a refurb). This is considering that the 4805 has now droped to the same price point as the 4800 new. Which is $1299 I believe. This should inturn bring the price down on the 4800 to around the $899 + level (I'm guessing) new.
