Yeah but if you use the pj only 21 hour per week, yeah only, 21 hours a week is a butt load of tv watching, but if you did that it would take you around 3 years to hit 3000 hours. If you took the $400 bulb cost and spread that over the three years you watched all the stuff in 100"+ glory vs puny 50 plasma or hd in a huge ass box (BTW also requires bulbs be changed and in most cases cost a crap load more then this one) its not all that bad. And really by the time you hit the 3000hr mark your running on old ass technology and it be time for a new one anyway to buy at $500 on sale so whats the beef troll
I know when my H31 bulb goes I bet I could get the now H71 HD one for around $500 beans, Id spend the extra $200 to get that then another bulb, and just keep buying last years model over and over again
