Information Alarm Clocks

Surprised that such products (Sony Dash Alarm Clocks) were discontinued in the early 2010s, and I can't seem to find any matching products from competitors that weren't discontinued as well. What's I'm talking about: http://dash.dash.sel.sony.com/

Thought about buying a cheap tablet with dock, but that would be relatively expensive.

Are there any recent alternatives?

Yeah that woukd be nice. Ive been really wanting something like that which coykd also give me weather info outside my house. My old weather ststion broke and something more up to date would be nice.

I have a Sony Dash (same thing as a chumby I think.) I got it for around $50. It now sits face down unplugged on my nightstand. It's not reliable as an alarm clock, informative as a display or usable as a tablet. Just a huge pile of fail that's difficult to deal with. I'll probably throw it away soon.

I usually hit my alarm clock really hard every morning on the snooze button, and it's pretty durable.

I don't need something fancy and expensive to break

I miss my Chumby. I got one before it had a monthly fee, had the brown/white one. It was a neat little device :thumbsup:

I'd go for a HP Stream 7 and a cheap stand. Enough useful live tile apps, plus the "modern" interface is perfect for bedside use.
