the theater scene was like woah. I'm still in a little bit of a state of shock. can't believe how many kids there were in the audience too.

Mélanie Laurent was awesome too... totally looking her up on Netflix :heart:

a little, but he's mostly over-acting to be funny.

him speaking italian was the funniest part of the movie, imo.

I don't know. I can't remember a Tarantino film I've been less eager to see. Accept for grindhouse which I never saw at all.

Now that we got that outta the way, I was listening to NPR today and their movie review guy didn't like it much. Said the scene where Pitt was talking to the undercover nazi chick dragged on forever or something. I don't have any money for the movies now, so I'm gonna wait for a decent rip when DVD is released.

I wonder if Tarantino will ever create anything on par with Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs.

Yes, I'm one of those Tarantino fans that compares everything he's done to those one of those two movies.

all tarrantino movies have long drawn out dialogues that wouldnt happen in real life

I'd probably put Kill Bill above Reservoir Dogs but below Pulp Fiction

It's a Quentin Tarantino film. QT doesn't do character development. He's all about presenting you with card board cut out stereotypical characters, but brilliantly realized.

I find it funny when people say that since a movie has Brad Pitt it must suck. Brad Pitt is a very solid actor and has been great in many awesome movies. I just think people hate on him cus he's a "pretty boy" but he's a very solid actor.

When I see most actors in a movie, I can get past the fact that they are acting and actually get caught up in the story/character. With Brad Pitt I just see Brad Pitt doing an impression, especially in this movie.

I thought it was quite good. Really captures that 70's feel. I still haven't seen Pulp Fiction.

*shrugs* I think most of Pitt's roles I can think of were quite well acted. Se7en, Fight Club, the Ocean movies (while not great were decently acted), Babel, Benjamin Button.

Only a couple seem 'over the top', but even those seem to just fit the role. Snatch and now Inglourious Basterds are the only ones and I don't think it'd be as entertaining if he didn't act the way he does in those.

That's because in most of his roles he's either acting insane or doing an accent. Then you have Inglorious Basterds, where he's acting insane AND doing an accent.

Never see it on TV. They have it on AMC and obviously have to cut out parts cus the movie has some "interesting" scenes in it. Rent it.
