for outdoor recreation only ? IMO, any in the $100-$150 range will suit you just fine. I started on a pair of cheap $50 ones back in '92 and they served their purpose though didn't last too long.
If you plan to play hockey with them now or in the future... let us know. epuck.com and hockeygiant.com are great online sources.
EDIT>>> As stated below, if this is indeed your first time in skates, don't buy online... try before you buy for a good fit.
if not i would recommend against buying online since comfort will be the primary factor in determining which model and size you will want to get other than what type of skating you will be doing(speed, aggressive, or all-around).
If you haven't skated before, pick up a cheap crappy pair from a used sporting good store until you get comfortable with it. Chances are, you are going to totally trash them by the end of the summer anyway.
Then shop for the good stuff.
But if you do skate already, then I guess I can't help much because I've never bought skates online
when I 1st started rollerblading, I got hockey skates to start off w/ cuz I knew I wanted to play hockey. I'm pretty sure, but some1 correct me if I'm wrong: Hockey Skates = Laces, Aggressive Skates = Straps/Buckles. IMHO, I tried using both, even just for skating around, and I just got alot better feel outta the skates w/ laces; it sorta felt like I had more control.
forgot to add, my bro had ultrawheels and they easily broke after about 3mos. I think you're better off getting a pair of Rollerblade brand skates. (My 2nd pair of skates were rollerblade brand, and if not for me getting a new pair of skates for cheap, I'd still be using them now.)
