Well, it seems that my PC doesn't like to play games for more than an hour or two before freezing up and requiring me to hit the reset button.
Similar problem which happened when I overclocked my old 2500+ too high, but I'm running all stock now and I'm wondering what could be the cause.
My temps all seem fine, and all my voltages except the CPU Vcore are slightly above the rated voltage. For some reason, my Vcore likes to run 0.02-0.05 volts less than what I set it at. However, I have an Athlon64 3500+ Venice core with the new E4 stepping, and I believe they run at 1.35, so I just set the motherboard to run at 1.40. I usually see 1.36-1.38 as Vcore voltage.
I'm wondering what could be the culprit. I have 2xA-DATA Generic Ram 512MB PC3200, but they are running at stock timings on normal voltage (2.5-3-3-8, 1T). My 9800 Pro I put a new coating of AS5 on before I installed my system, and the heatsink always seems to run a lot cooler than it did before, so I hoping that isn't the problem.
Motherboard is an AsRock 939DualSataII ULI1695 Chipset, which doesn't have much as far as overclocking settings, so I really can't adjust the voltages too much more than stock.
Power supply is an ASPIRE 500 Watt PSU, with 2 12 Volt Rails, One 16A, other 18A.
Any input GREATLY appreciated.
