And why would the 990 board be cheaper?

That's how it works - tech prices drop over time. Most online retailers don't wait for official manufacturer price changes and gradually drop them every other week by a small amount.
The 990FX board that costs 200 EUR today will almost definitely cost a little less in a few weeks.

So AMD wastes $6+ billion dollars on a plan that was going to take a minimum of 5 years to see any fruits, and yet someone has the nerve to actually take the time to type out the statement that AMD has no forward vision! Astounding!

AMD and Nvidia are simply reacting to Intel, gotta to evade the big blue shark and stay up and alive in the food chain, and for all those years i respect them for doing that and much more.

Hah, what?

It appears that AMD took a brave risk, but somewhere along the way things went off the rails.

That is, unless you're still so certain that BD is going to be this amazing success for AMD?

Oookay.

No one said they have "NO" vision. We're saying they had no more than Intel or nVidia does. You don't think Intel's plan was free, do you?

I'm sure they had a vision. Whether or not it is a successful one remains to be seen.

It's funny that 2/3 of people would wait this long only to totally trash something a week before it is released based on no hard information. Yall may as well put a sign on your head. I'll leave it to you to figure out what that sign should say. I still fully expect BD to outperform a 2500k by at least 20%, clock for clock, in gaming fps, within 6 months. Anything less would be a total fail of the AMD/ATI merger and of all things fusion. But I am least least willing to give them time to get drivers ready for the new hardware.

still think derpdozer is going to outperform the 2500K by at least 20% clock for clock in 6 months?

Really Patrick, Calling me out in two different threads?

Here is a quote from your other immature comment to save me more typing:

"I made a mistake, Not once will you see my Gloating about Bulldozer any post made today.

But to be fair, am I really going to notice 18 seconds different unzipping a file, or the 4 FPS at 1080p gaming? Its paper stats. I can live with it. Yes I hope there are improvements made."

You sticking with the 1035t then OP?

Nope. The 1035T is for my HTPC. I bought the Sempron as a Temp CPU. (It worked so well in the HTPC though I thought about selling the 1035)

I ordered a 8120. New tech, new toy to play with. System is built, games installed and being played. I didnt want to bother changing motherboards, etc out.

I find people like Patrick funny. Earlier in this thread I stated I built 2-3 2500K gaming systems for friends.... know why? Because they knew crap about PC hardware and I thought it was the best choice for the money.

Yes I support AMD, but no... I wouldn't call me a "fanboy"
