Hi
I just installed DD-WRT standard succesfully (after doing mini first). I want to disable my router's wifi and switch to a wired-only network. I know how to disable wireless (change type to Disabled), but what I'm curious about my old, linksys-era wifi connection I had.
My laptop picks up my old wifi network, let's call it NET1, and also a dd-wrt wireless network that wasn't there before. The new dd-wrt one is not protected by any passwords. I created a new wireless connection called NET2, and put a new WPA2 key to it.
I am able to connect to the new NET2, and not to the old NET1 and this mysterious dd-wrt (which is a good thing). What's bugging me is NET1 and dd-wrt names still showup on my wifi-finder thing. I found no option in DD-WRT controls that relate to these mysterious connections.
Thanks atotnetorking
EDIT = Just noticed that if I shutoff the llaptop's wifi, and do a wired connection to the router, I get connected to NET1. This is odd. How can I remove this NET1 altogether? Thanks again
