I wanted to connect my PC to our TV this weekend so I bought the x1600 to replace a ATI radeon card that didn't have any outputs. With the new card installed, on reboot, as soon as the log in screen is about to come up, my Dell 24" widescreen goes blank. If I put the old card back in or go into safe mode the display comes up. Obviously it looks funnny because of the wrong drivers and/or being in safe mode, but it does display.
It isn't dropping the signal, it's just that the signal is "black".
Windows 2000
Gigabyte motherboard though I forget the model and I am not at home now.

Any ideas? Any chain stores have a good add-on card so that I can get TV out with my old card?
