I ordered some Panaflo L1A fans from 2CoolTek and they came in yesterday. I forgot to order some screws, so I had to go hunt around in the hardware store to find some. I come home and have them installed and my system is running cooler.
I added 3 80mm fans to my InWin Q500. Two are in the back(exhaust). One of these is at the top of the case, above the PS and the other is just lower of the center, about inline with the CPU. The remaining fan is in the front at the bottom (intake).
Idle Temps
Case/CPU
Before 33/40
After 26/40
Load Temps (using Prime95 Torture Test)
Case/CPU
Before 33/59
After 26/60
So, the fans have shaved 7*C off my in case temps. I'd say that's pretty good. My CPU temp is still pretty high as expected, the fans won't help that out. I have one fan left that I plan to put in my PS, but I'm not so sure. The PS fan, although loud, is putting out quite a bit of air. Would the L1A fan with it's lesser output cause potential damage?
