are there any step by step instructions on how to migrate safely to an ssd? some of the drive makers include install items, some do not. i know it's not a difficult process but the penalty for failure is large, so i'd like to find a bullet proof guide if possible...yes i'm a wimp!
my current desktop has an 80gb intel ssd (18 months old, i forget which model) which is totally full with applications. i'm about to buy a new, bigger ssd (intel 520 or sandisk extreme probably) and would like to know what software/hardware i will need. i think intel has migration software included, but sandisk does not. should i buy ghost to manage the process, and as a sata/usb cable what i will need to migrate the data from the desktop ssd to the new one?
sorry for the dumb questions, i didn't see this specifically addressed but i might have missed an earlier thread.
