Insurance for IPhone?

i'm aware that AT&T and Apple both don't offer any insurance for the Iphone. i was wondering if there was any any insurance plans that cover iphone loss.. any help?

I have my iPhone added to my Personal Articles Policy rider to my Homeowners with my Insurance Company. Covers it in the event of theft, accidental destruction, pretty much everything... All with no deductable.

did your monthly rate go up (i know nothing about insurance but was thinking of putting my camera and few other things under it)

Slightly, but almost negligible. We already had a policy with between 5-10k worth of stuff on it, so the $400 iphone only made a small dent as even with the high amount, its only $120/yr

well what if i don't have that option??

i mean like buy insurance only for the Iphone? who can i do that through?

When I got my iphone @ launch I looked into this and i found my local State Farm agent would insure the iphone BUT not the iphone alone. It had to be a part of a larger policy, homeowner's, renters, or PAP. I ended up getting a PAP for 3 grand for $50 a year. I have been told that they do not do this anymore but if you already have a policy, it shouldn't be tough to add an iphone to it.

i see.. well i'm still young(ish) and don't have any large insurance policies in hand...

was just looking for something for the iphone alone... cuz a lot of my friends have gotten theirs stolen (among a few lost) [i live in nyc]

Just start puttign money into a savings account every week/month. in no time you'll have enough to buy a new one if anything happens or if nothing happens you will have enough to buy the next model when it comes out.

in england you are offered a 7.99 gbp [dam shift key doesn't work on my bros laptop] but i declined that. 24x8 is not worth it to me, but i'm good in that i haven't lost, damaged or had a phone stolen in 8yrs [touch wood] but my mate on the other hand has had one stolen, damaged 3 in the past 3yrs1 various phones so he has his iphone insured.

i hedge that i my iphone is looked after and not stolen1
