I just got an Asus a7n8x-X (nforce 2, single channel) motherboard. It does not have the MCP-T chipset and all of the fancy stuff that comes along with it like the dual lan, soundstorm audio and what not. It does have 1 onboard ethernetport, though.
So I am wondering, am I better off using that, or should I use my PCI 3com NIC? I am not sure of the exact model but it is a few years old.
I guess my main concern is which will use less memory bandwidth and less cpu cycles.
