This is my last ditch attempt to get my integrated sound card to work.
Motherboard
Iwill DPI533 SATA with integrated Analog Devices AD1980 AC'97 SoundMax® Codec w/ SPDIF w/ EQ
DPI533-SATA Spec Page
If it matters, the system contains 2 X 2.6 GHZ Xeons @ 533mhz, 2 Gig Ram, one IDE hard drive, one SATA hard drive.
Here's the problem.
-When I initially setup the system, my sound worked fine.
-I downloaded windows updates etc and the sound cut out.
-When I try to install the drivers that were shipped with the motherboard, the driver install always ends with "Driver Not Found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again." I can reboot all day and I continue to get the same error.
-Iwill tech support sent me a link to Sound Drivers from Iwill and I still get the same "Driver Not Found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again." I can reboot all day and I continue to get the same error.
I have a Sound Blaster 64 AWE card that I could install and then shut off the integrated sound, but I am running out of PCI slots in my workstation.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
