These drives make stellar linux/windows boot drives, especially for VM hosting. I use this drive as the linux/vm host drive and have the VM stores on a standard 7200 RPM raid 0+1 array. The complete linux install with VMware and few add ons only consume about 10GB.
Also, they are excellent netbook drives (if you have a home NAS, who cares about storage).

It was the 40gb model. and I read it was $75 on Monday. Deal is dead now thoughWas that the old 40GB or the newer 30GB?
