I really like this Mobo. It's cheap, boots up fast, and resumes from S3 standby instantly. So I was dismayed, when for seme reason, my S3 standby became S1 standby. In S3, all fan shut off, but in S1 fans still run. Anyway, I went into BIOS ACPI section and found the option where you toggle between S1 and S3 standby disabled. The option was set to S1, and I couldn't change it. I tried removing all PCI cards, but nothing. Tried disabling SATA, LAN and other stuff, but still nothing. I finally loaded setup defaults and got S3 working again.
To make the long story short, as soon as you enable the Burn-in mode, S3 functionality gets disabled until you reload setup defualts in BIOS. I'm not sure why that is, but the 4% FSB boost just isn't worth it especially since real life performance would be less than 4%. But completely silent standby mode is appealing and much better than hibernate.
If you hadn't played with S3 standy mode because you were overclocking, try it out. You'll be impressed...
