Thanks! BTW it was $419, way more than I had any right to spend, but it was either this or Skylake, and I didn't really want to swap platforms just yet.

I appreciate everyone's words of encouragement, thanks. I might have to don the flame suit still, after all a 5820K is going for at least $30 less! But that would also mean a new(ish) platform and DDR4, too. This thing better OC good now that I've told everyone, haha.

Somehow, I doubt he will be going with a -60c system, nor using a supercharged car.
I have a Corsair H110, it seems to do a pretty good job.
My goal is at least 4.4, but we'll see.

Besides, my nephew needed a quad core and I like helping out the only other PC enthusiast in our family. I'm not sure if he knows what a deal he got, but I do know he won't be having any CPU-related game problems for a while!

. . . Oh, nevermind the low power consumption, best iGPU on the market and the huge eDRAM which clearly benefits dGPU gaming and some applications.
^ Best price I've seen, I overpaid $15 for my impatience.
Tiger Direct has both the Core i5 5675C and Core i7 5775C in stock. Prices are not that bad too:
Core i5 5675C for $297.49 ($22.49 above MSRP).
Core i7 5775C for $403.99 ($26.99 above MSRP).
If you are heavily invested in LGA1150 (Z97) with a lot of DDR3 memory and not willing to pay for LGA1151/LGA2011 + DDR4 it might be worth taking a look. Oh, nevermind the low power consumption, best iGPU on the market and the huge eDRAM which clearly benefits dGPU gaming and some applications.
The irony is that as of now, I am a G3258 user...
