The Geekbench score of the 5200U is twice that of the Exynos in Note 4.

Some laptops kicking around with BDW-U but not on the shelves yet
And where in that thread was a 5200U score quoted? Nowhere.I'm just going by what was reported in this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2407781.
Broadwell for desktops should launch early 2015 right? Have there been any more news, a precise launch date, what SKUs are there going to be, etc?
So Broadwell only for mobile, desktop Skylake probably needing a new chipset means no upgrade path for the current 1150 motherboards. Is this what we can expect? There is no Broadwell desktop. It was presumably canceled in favor of going back to the Tick-Tock scheme and thus Skylake in 2015 after it's become clear to Intel that 14nm suffered from low yields and changed focus on 10nm instead.

I'm positive he wasn't talking about Broadwell-K.this looks like fresh news, what's your source for this ?
it contradicts reports such as http://wccftech.com/intel-skylake-s-delayed-september-ctober-2015 saying that "Broadwell-K will arrive sometime in early 2015"

Thanks for the link. I "knew" there would be more delays, and I'd be extremely surprised if Cannonlake doesn't get delayed, so I still predict it will launch in November.this looks like fresh news, what's your source for this ?

All other Broadwell SKUs for desktop (if there weren't problems, it would likely have been a similar launch like Ivy Bridge), unless Intel knew from the start it wouldn't be able to get Broadwell out in time.what was "canceled" then ?
never heard of them
'Cause they were, most likely, canceled.
This will be the first time since what, sandy bridge, that apple hasn't debuted intel's latest architecture! That's very telling.
Repeatedly, Broadwell has shown to be a poor performer. Despite multiple examples of Broadwell being released, no reviews. Now, Apple has snubbed Broadwell-U. What next?

Lenovo will offer at least 3 different models of the Yoga 3 11. One features an Intel Core M-5Y10C processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid state drive.
A second model has the same processor, but 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while a third has a faster Core M-5Y71 CPU, 8GB of memory, and 256GB of storage.
Meet the (unannounced) Lenovo Yoga 3 11

IMHO Core M makes more sense in smaller premium convertibles/tablets like this while Broadwell-U is a better fit for >13'' devices. Yoga 3 11 should be out soon (January?) along with the higher-clocked Core-M models (new revision).
I was under the impression that Broadwell U and Y didn't have any PCIe lanes or enough to do a dGPU, but it looks like that is not the case. Even Core M has the same amount as Haswell Y did - 12 PCIe 2.0 lanes. Could end up happening instead on Skylake if U and Y do integrate the PCH on die instead of on package.
