Nice, I would be in if it were half the price. That is the problem with all these thin and light formfactors. I can see a business using them for executives, sales reps, etc.: lots of travel, want to impress the customer, etc., and maybe for a student if you use it every day to carry between classes. (Edit: even then, this is more expensive than the Macbook air,which is what everyone seems to be carrying around on the campus where I work.)
But for normal use, with just occasional travel for a vacation or some such, it just seems too expensive for the performance. Even then, lightness is important, but does a few ounces one way or the other really matter? It still is a large device, not like a smartphone or even a 7" tablet that you can stick in a pocket (or a purse if you are a woman.)
For 1500 dollars I could get a nice gaming laptop and a cheap atom tablet for on the go, or just use a smart phone (TBH I dont have one, but the vast majority of people do). Or use the tablet or smartphone for on the go, and get a few hundred dollar full power mobile laptop or desktop for at home use that demands more computing power.
