Unless you are a hedge fund or the NSA you aren't seeing it. The Westmere version of it was something like $4K.

onyone who think broadwell-e will have 10-15% IPC gain vs haswell-E must be crazy.Thats more than sandy bridge vs haswell.

There was an i7-5775C ES chip at 5.2GHz under cold but as far as retail 4.7GHz at 1.6V. Did want to have a play with one but where I live it's like it never existed, not for sale anywhere (in country).

I was following that thread and its an ES chips...and the guy said the microcode was still buggy..Later in the thread he gets it stable @ 4.5ghz

Here you can see, how important power efficiency is with many cores in a MT app as a driver for higher performance.

How could the memory write speed advantage exist at the same time a memory speed advantage exists? I'm asking due to my interest in the differences between Haswell-E's memory controller and Broadwell-E's, which is meant to influence the DDR-4 speeds that are achievable.

Oddly enough in the illustations for the "Up to 8 Core (LLC)" there are actually ten cores :sneaky:

Allegedly the size of the 10 core variant is 246mm².
