Is this good or normal for my CPU?

3930k @ 4.5 @ 1.36v offset mode
IBT version 2.53
Setting: high 2048mb
10 runs
passed stable
average time: 20.75 seconds
speed: 127.4gflops

max temp on cores. Normal? That last core looks a little warm.

Yeah, that looks pretty good. Core 3 and Core 6 have quite a bit of a temp difference though.

My cores hit 95C after 5 hours of linpack, your temps are good.

Casual question: Why would you run Linpack for five hours? As far as I can tell, Linpack is a basis for IBT, OCCT and LinX. Even 30 iterations should take less than a couple hours . . . .

Temps are nothing unusual. Linpack/Linx/Intel Burn Test is the most demanding application for the CPUs. Nothing else should demand it as these tests do.

There are probably variations between the core that happens as a result of slight manufacturing irregularities, being adjacent to a cooler part of the die(like the System Agent or Memory Controller), and even core hopping.

Your performance is pretty bad. Lock it to 6 threads for higher utilization (and potentially temps). "ALL" is the wrong thread count to use.

The CPU has 12 threads. So should I try locking it to 12?

No. You lock it to the number of cores you have, not threads.

Just for reference, my 2600K at 4.5 GHz, locked to 4 threads, RAM at 2133 MHz, hits about 122 GFlops.

I have a 3930K also and the fastest times in IBT are achieved by specifying six threads.
An additional performance gain is also obtained by specifying the affinity of the benchmark process via task manager to use every other logical core.

Results:
i7-3930K @ 4.2GHz (100x42) 1.28 vcore
IBT version 2.53
Setting: high 2048mb
10 runs
passed stable
ALL THREADS average time: 20.298 seconds
SIX THREADS average time: 17.816 seconds
SIX THREADS + affinity set average time: 15.657 seconds and much more consistent results

In other benchmarks like Cinebench, I see large gains from Hyperthreading while running 12 threads.

My temps are with an H70, high flow fans, and cool ambient . Max during above IBT testing was:
64
63
58
59
61
66
68
