Sharkmeat,
You are misinformed. Your arguements lack any justification. You are in way over your head with this particular group of computer experts. To put it quite simply .... Stop argueing while you are behind.

If Intel chips still "Rule", then why are they so far behind AMD (200Mhz behind at the time of this writing)? Why is Intel missing market expectations while AMD is exceeding them? Why is the only computer manufacturer that ships "Intel Only" computers missing its market expectations while others are making and exceeding theirs?

Lastly, why are so many of those knoledgeable people on this board saying that your statements are incorrect? Am I to believe that ALL of the people on this board are stupid and don't know what they are talking about and that only YOU are correct? Could it be that you are the sole voice of reason among the many here at AnandTech?

If you believe this then please ..... seek help.

Zenmervolt, I do recall that Intel had some problems with their Pentium 60's and had to recall them since they had a problem calculating division or multiplication or some math operator like that with a specific large number. For some reason the answer was incorrect so long as the operator and that specific number were involved. They had to replace the math co-processor part of the chip I believe. That was at the introduction of the Pentium to the market, and therefore, I don't believe that the bad press came before it. It was after that incident, during the release of the Pentium 66, 75 and 90's that the bad press hit (and the problem was known to the public... i.e. in the news). I could be wrong though. That's why I think MadRat is correct in what he says replying to you. I just remember this since my parents got scared away from the bad press and went with a 486 DX2 66. I'm not trying to start a flaming thing and whatnot. I could be wrong. But that's how I remember it.
