I need the speed vs cores.... even my i3 6300 at stock is faster then my 1800x at the tasks I do I just can't put up with it anymore. Some apps wont even run at all on the 1800x or crash for some reason that work perfectly well on my i3, so its back to intel for me.I'm curious: Why are you moving from an 1800X to an 8700K?

Yeah, but they are rough on prices anyways. 7700k is at $395 , 6700k $393. Going from those its like a $30 bump like everyone else.They sure knew how to crank up the price beyond normality though...$428,-
