Intel Core 2 Duo stock heatsink....wth

I'm in the process of putting together a pc and I just started putting in the processor. How in the heck do I get this heatsink and fan in without totally destroying the motherboard?

The heatsink has 4 posts that you have to "push" into the motherboard and twist. When I try to push on one end in, the other pops out. Even if I get one of them turned 90 degrees the other post pops out. Also it's nearly impossible turn the post 90 degrees, because they are so tight. Any suggestions would be great.

Ok after reading several of the posts on Newegg, it appears this is a very common problem. One guy called it "the heatsink of doom". Any suggestion on another heatsink and fan that is alot easier to install?

You dont have to turn them, you only turn them to remove. You just have to push them all the way thru and they will stay

Thx for the replys! Interesting that the MSI motherboard manual says to turn the posts and the Intel instructions say to just push.

edit: just re-confirmed my MSI nForce 650i manual says on page 2-6 (step 11):

Press the four hooks down to fasten the cooler. Then rotate the lock switch (refer to the correct direction marked on it) to lock the hooks.
