I finally made the choice between dual and quad core.......hope it was the right one. I'll report if it is a GO stepping, and how it runs in an Abit IP35-e w/ Crucial 1066.
If you really want a G0 you can tell ClubIT to convert your order into
a G0 specific 'preorder' though getting the CPU could take another several
days depending on what happens with their ordering process.
Also tankguys.biz seems to be reputable and well respected in the community,
and they have a G0 specific preorder for $299 + shipping which should be arriving
for tham around 10 aug.
Also for pure price, check mwave.com and outpost.com, they're a few bucks
cheaper than Clubit / tankguys but your chances of getting a G0 may be
very low and uncertain. I would hesitate to call outpost (outhouse) / Frys.com
'reputable' in the sense that they rank near #1 in customer disservice when it
comes to knowledgable / helpful pre-sales info and support, though I think they're
reputable in the sense of being trustworthy to buy from and have confidence
you can get whatever warranty and RMA options are actually described and offered
for your particular product, and that they'll usually ship very promptly for in
stock items or very promptly not at all if they get out of stock and decide
to cancel the standing hordes of backorders on some massively popular item.
