Some time ago, someone provided a link to a website that had various Intel CPU wallpapers available. At the time I had a Celeron 300A OC to 450 MHz. I chose that wallpaper for my use. I recently upgraded my CPU to a Coppermine PIII 850E which I have overclocked to 977 MHz by boosting the default FSB from it's 100 MHz to 115 MHz.
Does anyone have a link to any site that has these wallpapers and are updated to include what I have upgraded to ??

Sorry, no wallpaper but nice O/C! Is that chip a cB0 or cC0 stepping?

Peemo, The CPU is a cB0 SECC-2 (slot-1) retail version (BX80526U850256ESL47M) I have the Vcore at 1.65 (default) and am using 128 Megs Mushkin PC100 SDRAM in a MSI BX Master MOBO.
I'm not an avid gamer so I haven't stressed the machine with any of the favorite games of today but it seems rock solid in Win98SE applications and the internet.

Guess that MSI is a good board. If you decide to see how high it will go then please post your results. Lots fo people are asking what they can expect from 800 & 850 chips. If cB0 will hit 977 with no sweat I would think that a cC0 would hit 1 GHz with decent cooling. I'm saving to upgrade from my PIII700 cA2 which starts hyperventilating at 805MHz.

Cheers

I'm looking to get a P3-850 slot 1. What's the difference between cB0 and cC0?

cC0 is a leter revison, so it stands to reason they've incorporated a few changes and the manufacturing gets better yields, so they'll generally run at higher speeds. Intel, like nVidia and AMD and others, speed bin their chips--they essentially make them all the same way, and select the best to run at higher speeds. So while most of a batch might run at 900MHz, you might get lucky and receive one from that batch that was marked as 700MHz, as they can't seel them all at the same speed, or their cash flow scheme would collapse. At least, that's what I picked up from these BBSes and websites over the past few months.
