Intel D845GBV motherboard = super stable?

I'm looking to build a new system with a Pentium 4 2.26GHz w/533 FSB processor and was wondering if anyone had any comments on the Intel D845GBV motherboard as far as it being stable?

I am not interested in overclocking, just a reliable and stable system.

I have not used that particular intel board, but have used 3 intel boards (845bgl, 850mvl, and 850gbl). They were all super stable. When you don't want to overclock you can't beat the stability of an intel board.

Mitch, the D845GBV - as its model number implies - is based on the new Intel 845G chipset, which has integrated graphics (fortunately, that can be disabled and a 4X AGP card can be substituted).

Shide1, the "L" in the "D8##$$L" [D845BGL (i845D/Socket 478), D850MVL (i850/Socket 478) and D850GBL (i850/Socket 423)] means that those Intel motherboards have a built-in 10/100 NIC.

I can't answer that question; I don't own a Pentium 4 of any speed.

Intel is #1 for stability. I don't care to overclock anymore, my D845BG is rock solid..

Yeah, that Intel board is going to be very stable. Intel CPU, Intel Chipset and Intel Mobo with Intel Video and Sound - what else can one need for stability? Maybe Intel RAM? No VIA or third party chipset/mobo headaches here. Congrats on your choice!

I see no need in overclocking with a 2.26Ghz PC...I've lived and made money running my business on a plenty fast P3-600E.

It's just that I like to purchase a new PC for the business every few years, and this time it's been a while.

INTEL boards are the Lord High King God of stability and will last forever and if on rare occasion you have to RMA the board you will not have a problem from Intel about it.
The test the hell out of those before they release them on the general public.
