So I got my mobo installed in an Antec case with the SmartPower 350w power supply, not too many problems other than the lack of front panel headers. Am I dumb, or does every case I've seen have a 3 pin 2 lead Power LED cable, whereas this mobo uses 2 pins, and as identified on the website, the pins make no sense whatsoever.

Anyhow, when I put the system into sleep mode (both S1 and S3), the system case fans continue to run while all other components power down. I previously had a Shuttle AK31 v2.1, and when I would sleep/suspend that, everything would power down, including fans.

Am I missing something obvious? The case fans are a 4-pin that came with the case - one in front of the hard drives and one at the rear of the case. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated

Split the plug in half with a knife or wire cutter then plug in the two single pin plugs.
By the way, I installed this board (my first Intel) and absolutely hated the Intel BIOS setup. I immediately emailed a RMA request.

What would making a RMA request do? The board is functional. The fact that you don't like the bios config doesn't mean much to them I would think.

Moffat Cafe,
Thanks for the suggestion, but if my electrical wiring memory serves me correctly, you've generally got a + and - lead for the lights...at least the HD light works that way. Anyhow, if you look at the tech specs, they state that pin 1 is for a green power on light and pin 3 is amber, I'm guessing to indicate sleep mode. But I don't have a dual-color power led, just another led that I've used before to indicate sleep/standby...

In cracking open the case, and seeing all the fans running while in sleep/suspend (tried both S3 and S1 settings, and fan control on and off through bios), I still have all the fans running when powered down. Checked tech specs, and all of the fans are supposed to be off when in either one of those states. Hopefully some email support from intel real soon will get this rectified...

Peelucky Duckee, the RMA request was so that I could ship the board back for a refund (which I got).
