seems its the end of overclocking the G3258 on cheap H97M boards etc.
Really wanted to buy the H97M Pro AS Rock on newegg for $68. So I can overclock the G3258 but now it seems like we are all screwed.
if I buy the H97M PRO right now on newegg am I guaranteed to get a board with a bios version lower than 2.0? ASRock released this new microcode exactly 1 month ago. But then I see on this thread people are reporting G3258 only allowed 1 core on windows 10 without the update?
What you guys think go for the H97M PRO right now? or shell out $20 extra and get the Z97M AsRock for $88 instead?

QUOTE Cons: I was going to give this 5 stars but as of this weeks update they have removed CPU overclocking from the UEFI. that was one of the reasons i chose this motherboard and the more expensive K series processor
