The PTL Celestial iGP 12 Xe³ iGP tile is fabbed on N3E. So it make sense that the dGP silicon is also fabbed there.

Granted, Celestial is also fabbed on Intel 3. So we might have a surprise on low-end dGP silicon given the IP is there already.
They have made their IP a lot more portable by the looks of it Intel Product is going to dual source like no other 🤣

You sure about N3E/P for celestial ? Looks like druid it is than Brian Kranzich and Paul otellni has to be the worst Intel CEOs It was paul who declined apple for their Fabs look at them now also the stagnation i guess Bob swan fired due to TSMC Capacity he bought but he made the right decision at the time it will take like H2 25 to see wether they succeed or not in FAB space
Bob Swan was brought to stabilize the company and ready for the real leader, which happened to be Pat Gelsinger.

There was a leak about Intel GPUs way back and it talked about N3 dGPU.

You mean "Be the Fall Guy for 10 nm"... and he got (IIRC) 20 million for it.
But he did stabilize the company, enough for them to release Icelake. During BK's time the releases nearly entirely halted. The "Fall Guy" for 10nm is the guy that created the problem in the first place - Brian Kraznich. It's not like it was a secret that BK was bad.

The Challenger A580 is for the moment, at the magic $149.99 it should have launched at. It also includes a free game. No real competition for it in the $150 and under NIB for gaming or media duties. Rebar, power use, and no LP model are the negatives.

The ASRock LP A380 is back ordered, as it is every time it goes on sale. Would not surprise me if it is the best selling ARC model on the market.

So EVGA maybe for Intel GPU's? AMD already has good partners with Power Color and Sapphire.
The forced way of doing things crumble when the alternative is way better than expected by the dictator.

If Intel maintains good relationships and their product is good enough then Nvidia won't be able to do much about it.

My point was that EVGA left the GPU market because of how Nvidia treated them. EVGA has always made high quality graphics cards. Back in the day, their super clocked cards one every benchmark against the same cards of competitors. I am pulling for both Intel and AMD in the GPU market.

Nvidia does try when the competition heats up and when the competition doesn’t they price gorge.

So here’s to more competition.

It would be nice if EVGA could return, producing both AMD and Intel cards.

Mid 2025 for the G31 variant? Half a year later Xe3 is coming in PTL. This is so odd. Even more odd that ARL-H next year is getting the old Alchemist, what a failure.

Yeah they could have simply swapped off to new tile what is the point of Tiles if they can't do that

Gamers Nexus also thinks battle mage has to compete on price. I hope if the MSRPs are bad, that at worst they clear out the super loyal customers first ala AMD, then drop prices to be attractive enough to everyone else remotely interested. Can they afford to do it is the big question.

Time will tell but if LNL demo is to go by it seems better than alchemist situation

There's no way it's that much faster. Arrowlake-H uses ACM+ with XMX integration and more caches. At best we're looking at 20% over the predecessor, nevermind a dGPU A370M.
Doesn't A370M runs at very low clocks? (Circa 1.X GHz). ACM+ has double the cache and higher clocks. I could see it surpassing the A370M quite fairly.

Why would doubling the cache improve performance significantly? The caches are very small for a graphics workload. Doubling won't do much. Also a dGPU has an inherent advantage of having more stable clocks due to a separate power budget and a dedicated memory that won't be under contention.

You shouldn't base performance on Sisoft tests. It is interesting for academic discussions but they've been laughed off as a benchmark for 30-plus years.

Doubling the cache can alleviate performance issues in some scenario Cache did wonders for Ada architecture

Intel job cuts are coming, targeted at "underperforming products". Do we think the GPU team is going to take a hit?
