How much memory will the A770 have?the difference between 6nm tsmc and 8nm samsung is ~20$.
with 160 chips per wafer and ~9000$ per wafer, each A770 die costs around $55. With samsung 8nm the same die woud cost maybe $30
Is TPU's die size of 406mm² ńot accurate then?the difference between 6nm tsmc and 8nm samsung is ~20$.

N6 costs a lot more than SS8.
A770 Oct 12. for 329
Not sure if that had been announced already
The worst place possible, an Intel keynote slideWhat? That's disgusting! Where?
You might save few dollars on chip production but now you have a chip that's a generation behind in power use and performance. And A770 is at a performance level where 10-20% difference in performance starts impacting price by 30-40%.
Edit: I don't see why anyone would buy this over the 6600 or the 6600 XT.
Absence makes the PCI-E port grow fonder?Or they just want a dGPU that disappears every now and then?
Absence makes the PCI-E port grow fonder?
Of course it is. Instead of tackling all the real issues, they take the time to optimize for a game no one plays anymore. But that is of course, the darling of reviewers benchmark suites. This traveling medicine show is a joke that stopped being funny months ago. And we STILL don't have the cards. The latest pitch is probably "Just in time for the Holidays, kids!"XeSS is now available for Tomb Raider, by the way.
Ufff, I hope this doesn't turn into a sale with a promise akin to "by Xmas everything is perfect" that they then fail to keep. That's be a mess under many trees. The latest pitch is probably "Just in time for the Holidays, kids!"

16GB A770 - $349 (only $20 for another 8GB of GDDR - nice)
8GB A770 - $329
8GB A750 - $289
These seem so bunched up. Three cards within a $60 spread?
I know they are trying to make money but either axe the A770 8GB or bring the A750 8GB down $20-$30.
(Edit - it appears the A770 16GB is going to be a very limited release part, at least at the jump. So I guess $40 separating the full part vs a slightly cut down part makes sense, and they cant afford to really charge that much more for their “halo” card. It would still make more sense to me if the A770 was just 16GB and the price difference was $60 but no one is asking me, clearly.)
If the A750 was priced to beat the 6600 I would try it, I have an ARC compatible rig with a 6500XT in it right now that might benefit from it. We can hate on the 6500XT value prop but I got it cheap and it works for everything, not just DX12.
I mean, I won't pretend to defend Intel at all, but maybe wait for reviews before assuming the card is garbage. There is a reason Intel did not release everything all at once worldwide, and it isn't because of capacity. I'm not saying things will necessarily be better, but rather, wait for reviews. The A370 != A770, and there have been more than 20 driver releases between launches.
EDIT: At the $329 price point, I suspect it will be quite competitive. We will see.
I am not saying it’s garbage, I am saying that it better have some clear breathing room between a $230 6600 and itself to matter.
I'm a little taxed on purchases, however I hope to pick up an A770, if for no other reason than benchmarks and compatibility.
