So that mean N44 would be faster? Because i've noticed in synth test Intel always faster, than in gaming
It's faster because Alchemist is a bad design and thus cannot be fully utilized until settings/resolutions are high enough, like 4K. In synthetics, it doesn't need to run at high fps, so it performs better, while in games you need low enough resolution so it's playable.

Battlemage is better, as seen by Lunarlake. We'll see how much better it is.

From the chipsandcheese low level benchmarks, Alchemist has big cache latencies and low effective VRAM bandwidth when the Xe compute units have low utilization.
It seems quite reminiscent of GCN that could only show its strengths when async kept the CUs with higher utilization rates.

They also said SIMD8 is fitting for an iGPU focused design, but has lot of overhead for larger ones like dGPU. Battlemage is SIMD16, which will not only improve compatibility, but performance overall. Someone said they are going SIMD32 in Druid.

Plus you have missing instructions such as Execute Indirect, and Fast Clear which has been in AMD/Nvidia designs for decades but only being used for the first time in Battlemage. Fast Clear for example will improve performance in small data transfers, which slapping on a large memory bandwidth interface cannot do.

Based on what the leakers are saying though, the advancements in Battlemage almost pales in comparison to what's coming in Celestial. So 3rd time's the charm?

They were pretty clear that Alchemist was essentially to take their Xe iGPU design and adapt it to a dGPU with minimal changes. Battlemage was supposed to identify the low hanging fruit and issues from the Alchemist design to improve the product. Innovation was supposed to come later.

A few things I am looking for in the B570 and B580. How well they play current and legacy games. Did Intel fix the architecture problems Alchemist had that software driver updates could not fix. Power usage. The target power consumption for these cards should they be equal to a 4060 is 100-125w of power usage while gaming. The 40 series cards were phenomenal when it came to efficiency, especially the 4060 and 4060ti cards. I am basing this all on silicon assuming Intel is using either N4 or N4P. I am not saying silicon is everything, design plays a factor in power consumption.

Wait if the B580 is >200W then it’s game over. That’s 4070 Super levels of power consumption but without 4070S performance
I don't want to argue with him. The B7xx cards are the top Battlemage cards that Intel will release next year. The B570/580 cards are supposed to be 10GB and 12GB cards. They are the entry level cards that release this week. Rumor is they release at 9AM tomorrow.

Ok hopefully that’s the case, less than 12 hrs to go.

When is the Battlemage announcement event planned? Can't find any info on the time yet.
